Jean Combalbert, PhD, Chief Executive Officer Jean Combalbert joined Euroscreen in April 2006, having more than 15 years experience in pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Jean received his PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Marseille, France. After his Ph.D. on pharmacokinetics and metabolism in French public research (INSERM), he joined the pharmaceutical industry where he had senior positions with Sanofi in Montpellier then with Galderma successively based in Sophia Antipolis, France, and then in Princeton, NJ, USA. Prior to joining Euroscreen, he was VP Pharmaceutical Development Proteus SA, Nimes France, then Chairman & CEO of Entomed SA, Strasbourg, France. Graeme Fraser, PhD, Director, Drug Discovery Graeme Fraser has more than 16 years of industry experience in both management and technical positions. Previously, Graeme was V.P., Drug Discovery at Tranzyme Pharma (Sherbrooke, Canada) where he led the discovery and preclinical development activities for a pipeline of GPCR-small molecule programs. Earlier, he managed preclinical development activities at Viron Therapeutics Inc. (London, Canada) and led specific GPCR target validation activities at Astra Pain Control AB (Södertälje, Sweden and Montreal, Canada). In total, he has directed research activities for three products currently in clinical development. Graeme received a Ph.D. from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and is an author of over fifty publications and research abstracts, including nine patents and two IND filings.
Al Gray, PhD, Director, Business Development Al Gray has been responsible for business development at Euroscreen since 1999. His previous positions were at Abbott Laboratories where he served for 22 years in pharmaceutical and diagnostic research and development, strategic planning and partnering, and as the founder of Recombinant Capital Europe AG, in Basel from 1998 to 2001. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Northwestern University. Postdoctoral years were spent at Brandeis University and the University of Illinois Medical Center, specializing in immunology and protein biochemistry. Vincent Lannoy, PhD, Director, IP & Legal Vincent Lannoy joined Euroscreen in 2000 to manage the molecular biology unit. In 2002, he developed our intellectual property unit. Currently, Vincent manages the patent portfolio of the Company with external counsels as well as various legal matters. He received his PhD in Medical Biology from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium and also received a Certificate in Management from ICHEC, Brussels in 2006.
Jerome Bernard, PhD, MBA, Director, Euroscreen Fast Business Unit Jerome Bernard is managing director for our services activities. He joined Euroscreen in 2002 as laboratory head of the Product Development Department in charge of GPCR-cell lines and cell-based assays development. Since 2007, he led the discovery and preclinical development for a GPCR-small molecule program. Jerome received a PhD from Paris XI University (Paris, France) and holds an executive MBA from EDHEC business school (Lille, France). In addition more than 15 PhDs with diversified industry experience are involved with our laboratory activities. |
